Izzy Dolls

Hello everyone,

Many of you will remember that we have made Izzy Dolls for the Nursing
and Early Childhood Educations students from Georgian College, to take to
the Dominican Republic.

This April 26th, students will be heading there again for 10 days for
a hands-on educational experience which will aid the poorest communities in
that country, bringing medications, vitamins and medical care. But even more
than that, they will be bringing Izzy Dolls for the children who have
nothing with play with but sticks, stones and water bottles which have been
tossed in the trash.

The Izzy Dolls are packaged with a toothbrush, face cloth and toothpaste
(if they have these) for each child. If you are not wanting to make Izzy
Dolls we can also
use Knitted or Crocheted face cloths ,( I do already have some face
cloths here for them)

We have some wonderful photos of these little ones clutching their very
own doll and the look on their sweet faces says it all..."someone cares
about me."

So, please check out the link below for the pattern and drop off your Izzy
doll...rest assured,we will make certain it goes to a little one who will
treasure it!

Dolls and face cloths need to be handed into me at the store by Thursday
April the 4th.
