Short Row Techniques

Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock Yarn
On Wednesday afternoons we are currenly enjoying a KAL for Vitamin D, using Sweet Georgia Yarn's Tough Love Sock. This lightweight cardigan uses short row shaping, and we've been learning about different techniques for working these.

Today was my favourite; Japanese short rows. These are worked without wrapping the yarn, and create a smooth, no-gap finish on the right side. We've also looked at some different wrapping techniques for short-rows and yarn-over short rows. If you're interested in learning these techniques, Craftsy is currently featuring Carol Feller's workshop for free!  It's well worth taking a look and trying the different methods  to see what you prefer.

I can't wait to see how everyone's cardigans start to come together and hope to see some progress pictures in the KAL thread on the Ravelry group soon!
