New yarn in from Fleece Artist.

Hello Everyone,

Well, Fleece Artist has done it again! This hand-dyed, 100% wool yarn is a gorgeous " thick and thin" which works up beautifully into everything from hats to cowls to sweaters. This would also be great for rug hooking!!

Check out Ravelry for lots of free patterns for this yarn, it works up quickly on an 8mm needle, and the colours are so pretty

Biscotte And Cie!!

Hello Everyone

I do love showcasing beautiful Canadian yarns and this one hits a particular high note. Made in Quebec, this 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon yarn is extra special as it self stripes amazingly!! The colours are richly pigmented, and with 351 metres in each skein, you will find lots of uses for it, socks, shawls, summer sweaters....I particularly love the "Watermelon" colourway as it makes me actually believe that summer is coming!

Of course, seeing as I do not think we have even had spring yet, there is still time to knit one more pair of socks!

As a special introduction to  this yarn , it will be 10% off for you, my loyal customers, for this coming week, April 15th to April 19th.  So just mention this email and get it at 10% less.

A big thank you to everyone !!

           Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say a HUGE "Thank You" to everyone for the wonderful number of
hats, Izzy dolls and finger puppets and face cloths turned into The Purple Sock! Here is the final tally...60 hats, 185 Izzy dolls, six facecloths, and 38 finger puppets!! Isn't that amazing!!?

They will be sent with the nursing students from Georgian College who will be going shortly to the Dominican Republic where I know they will be enjoyed, appreciated and loved!

Just a reminder to anyone who wants to do some more charity knitting...please know that I am always glad to collect items to go to the Warm Hands Network. Here is a link to their website with details about them. This is an on-going project, and when I have enough items I usually find someone to deliver them to Ottawa if they are going that way, or I mail them out.
