THE PURPLE SOCK!!!!

 Hello everyone!

I am so excited to share the newest addition to The Purple Sock!!

Up until now, it has been lovely new yarns, great needle sets, hand dyed rovings and cool notions, but this is even bigger!

TA-DA!! I am a new dealer for  SpinOlution
https://www.spinolution.com/
and Louet spinning wheels!!
https://www.louet.com/spinning-wheels
There is lots of information  and pictures on their websites.

I host a spinning session here every Friday morning, which exposes me to so many different wheels and one which caught my eye was the tiny little SpinOlution Pollywog that one of the spinners had...so..fast forward a few weeks, and both the SpinOlution Pollywog, and her big sister, Echo, are now in the shop, ready for you to take a test drive!

And in addition to the SpinOlution line, the Louet S17, which is a fabulous single treadle wheel, is here as well, all beautifully painted by a local artist.  This wheel comes unfinished so you can make it your own!!
They have a great special on this wheel til the end of December!!

So come on it and give them a try!!

A treat for you from Italy!

Hello everyone,

I have always wanted to go to Italy to see their gorgeous yarns! But seeing as that is not happening right now, I thought I would bring some Italian yarns here!

Ella Rae is simply luscious...the chunky weight is called "Splash", and it is 100 grams and  110 metres of pure extra fine Merino. And the handpainting? Just fabulous! I love how they do those wonderful,"speckles".

The other Ella Rae yarn is their Lace Merino, a superwash extra fine Merino with 276 metres in a 100 gram skein. There are some gorgeous colours, come on in and check them out!

Happy knitting!

Yay! Sugar free and fat free

Sweet Rolls!!

Hello everyone,

Well, I hope that caught your attention, as what could be better than that?! But actually, this new Sweet Roll yarn really is better, because with just one ball you can make so many projects!

And if you want to make something a wee bit larger, perhaps a baby blanket? then just pick up an extra ball or two  and you are on your way. The colours are beautiful, with one shade drifting into the next, plus, the yarn is machine washable, and can be dried in the dryer on tumble, just perfect for new Moms or kids off to college.

We have a wonderful array of colours in the shop, too many to show here, so pop on in and take a peek..and check out the links to some fun patterns too...
